With the launch of Craft 3 and the shift of purchasing plugins through the Craft 3 Plugin Store, we figured it would be good to clarify as many things as we could.

In the last half of 2017 we helped a new client, ICO Alert, upgrade their Craft CMS site to support the needs of their rapidly growing user base. Speed was of the essence and Algolia blew us all away.

When your site search is slow or inaccurate you are very likely losing customers. I know it sounds like a standard click-bait blog post, but it's true. Fortunately there is a relatively new SaaS product out there that provides an excellent site search experience sure to delight your customers. It's Algolia.

As you already know, Craft 3 RC became available recently. We have been working hard to update Freeform and Calendar to be compatible with Craft 3. A lot of things changed in Craft 3, and due to the complex nature of our plugins, it has required a great deal of time to convert them. That said, we're excited about the improvements Craft 3 brings, and are looking forward to getting Freeform and Calendar available to you soon!

Over the years, you may have noticed that Solspace's software offerings have evolved. We have expanded into the Craft CMS market, and we have been focusing on specializing in a smaller number of add-ons. Our goal is to expand on these select add-ons to be extremely comprehensive and robust. Currently, our add-ons of focus are Freeform and Calendar, and we have even bigger ideas for them in the future!

We were contacted by a design and dev shop who was making a pitch to a new client to use Craft CMS for a site redesign. The whole deal was gated on Craft being able to get form submission data into the client's Microsoft Dynamics GP install. Going from PHP into Windows usually includes a little bit of death and dismemberment, but we at Solspace dig on that sort of thing. So we took the deal.

You don’t have to worry, that Hori Hori (Dig Dig) tool is on its way to you straight from the Barebones Living warehouse. We made it look easy, but trust us when we say it wasn't! Let's pick up where we left off in Part 1 and see how the discovery process unfolded.
